Blended with gypsum for better water absorption, this potting mix also contains all-purpose plant food, yucca extract to control moisture, and dolomitic limestone to adjust pH. Like all Back to the Roots garden products, this premium blend raised bed mix is peat-free, so it doesn't contribute to harmful greenhouse emissions like some other brands. Combine this item with other Back to the Roots products including seeds, seed starting pots, plant foods and raised beds for a completely organic solution. What is peat? Peat is one of mother nature's most important stores of carbon. Instead of imported foreign peat from outside the USA, the base of our soils is made from up cycled plant matter and wood fines from around the United States.
